Conner Casey

Folktronica/ Dream Pop solo artist from Washington, DC

Announcing Tilth

 Released 8.28.2021

Largely a backlog of music written throughout the last half decade, Tilth was recorded in a small homemade studio in a Northeast, DC warehouse. Inspired by Dream Pop, and Electronica of the 80's, 90's, and 00's as well as Folk and Soul singers of the 60's and 70's, Tilth is an eclectic homage and a reflection of the artist's tumultuous interpretation of the ever-burning chaos of modern life. No conclusions or advice are given, just relentless questioning and inevitable confusion.

“ His work resonates across genres touching the roots of American folk and pushing boundaries with experimental electronic soundscapes. Ultimately I believe Conner is pushing the boundaries of live and recorded music with his unique approach and I will always be in attendance at his shows.”

“Mekong” (Live)

A Live recording of Conner Casey’s “Mekong” recorded from an old stone wall in the woods…

Conner weaves together a melodic mix of Dream pop, Folk, Soul and Electronica with lyricism pulled from existential dilemmas, subconscious exploration, looming ecological collapse, general chaos, and of course LOVE. Conner sets out to inspire listeners to question their relationships with literally everything.

Hailing from the urban wastes of the Mid-Atlantic, Conner started making music at the ripe age of 17. His first instrument was the harmonica. Oddly enough the draw to it was based on a few songs off of Yoko Kano’s legendary Cowboy Bebop OST. When he was 20 he purchased a piano from his front stoop for $40 and immediately started learning covers of The Band, Bob Dylan and many other folk and rock acts from the 60’s. He also learned he could sing. Since then Conner has played with many bands in his college town of Orono, Maine, in Washington, DC, and abroad in New Zealand. Over the years, Conner has written a lot of material for his bands only to have those bands fall apart before anything got off the ground. Recently he has devoted much of his time to recording original songs and performing live. He does not plan on stopping any time soon…
